While this feature is currently not available in the customer dashboard ssl.scandit.com, you can reach out to us via the webform, specifying:
- device model (e.g. SM-G715U for Xcover Pro),
- Your email address of the Scandit account and your target Keyboard Wedge project,
- the desired button code
And we will enable the hardware button for you.
Please note, that every hardware button has a different key code and you can identify the key code with apps available in the play store.
For example, the Samsung Xcover series, the hardware button code for the Xcover Key is 1015.
After the change has been applied to your configuration, please do not forget to reload the Keyboard Wedge configuration on the devices:
How is an updated configuration distributed to the devices?
Please note, to open the wedge with the hardware button the input field has to be in focus (i.e. the keyboard needs to be open).
