How is the Enterprise Browser distributed to users?

Two options exist to distribute the enterprise browser to your users:

  • Self-Service: Your employees download the Scandit Enterprise Browser from the app store and scan the QR code visible in your dashboard. This is typically the easiest way to get started with small pilots and evaluation projects.
  • Via MDM/EMM System: The app can be automatically pre-installed via an MDM system (see our corresponding FAQ entries for Android and iOS). For this method, the Enterprise Browser supports setting the project code which is scanned from the dashboard directly in the MDM settings of the app. Users are automatically synched with the correct configuration.

Both means of distribution require the device to have a connection to ssl.scandit.com for synchronization of license and configuration during the initial launch.
