How do I setup the Keyboard Wedge on iOS?

Please note that you need a valid Scandit Keyboard Wedge subscription to follow the steps below. Learn how to Sign Up for a free 14-day trial.

Option 1 - Use the onboarding (recommended)

1. Login to ssl.scandit.com
2. Click on the "Play Tutorial" link in the side menu (on the left) and follow instructions.
   

Option 2 - Follow the below instructions (for existing projects)

1. Download the Scandit Keyboard Wedge on the App Store
2. Login to ssl.scandit.com
3. Click on your iOS project card
4. Once downloaded, iOS will ask you to grant the Keyboard Wedge camera access so it can scan barcodes.
   
5. If you have the app on a different device than the one where the dashboard is opened: click on the "Enlarge" link next to the QR code in the dashboard, then use the Keyboard Wedge app to scan the QR code.
   If you have the app on the same device than the one where the dashboard is opened: click on the "Copy" link next to the QR code in the dashboard, and then paste it in the "Enter setup code manually" field in the app.
6. The Keyboard Wedge will then guide you to through the necessary settings changes on your phone to enable scanning into any application:
   

7. Once you have finished all steps, the Keyboard Wedge will now be present whenever the keyboard is open. Click on the globe icon of the keyboard to switch between keyboards.
